Our clients loved their neighborhood and planned to be in this home for many more years. The existing home did not have the space or layout to entertain, which they enjoyed doing, and the amenities were a half a century old.

We determined that the best approach to the project was to “split the split.” The existing house was a modest 1950’s split level. During the remodel the house was essentially cut in half and the left hand side was demolished down to the foundation. The foundation was then expanded 12’ to the side and 6’ to the rear to enlarge the foot print.

This left the existing three bedrooms on the upper level and an existing family room and garage below. The newly expanded foundation gave rise to a new entry level with an enlarged living room, dining room and kitchen. Above the entry level is a new master suite that includes this beautiful claw tub, shower, custom vanity, spacious home-office and ample storage area.

Our goal for this project was to make this house as carefree as possible for our clients and give them a space that they and their friends will enjoy for many years to come.
