A New Addition for an Old Standard
|

The picture at right shows the completed outside
of the new addition HUB Design/Build has been constructing. The
octagonal window helps light the new, expanded entryway. This
entryway has a coat closet installed; and, since this will be
used as the main entrance to the house, it will afford visitors
a wonderful view of the addition when they enter. |

This is the completed addition. We still need to paint the exterior-but
that is coming soon. After that
we'll seed the area, and the client has big plans for landscaping
and flowers. |

The picture at right is a view into the addition from the completed
new entry foyer. We can get an idea of the impact this room
will have on visitors entering this home. The room will have
even greater impact once the bookcases are installed on the
wall facing us on the right. |

This view shows us the entry foyer. We can see the newly installed
coat closet, and that area is lit by the octagonal window that
we installed for the client. The double door to the right is
a laundry area with a stacked washer and dryer. |

This picture shows us the newly completed door/window in a second
floor bedroom. One can actually exit that window (it swings
out like a door) onto what was once a kitchen addition. Check
earlier pictures to see that addition and the framing that went
around it as we built this room. Once the bookcases, furniture
and piano are in the room we will take some final pictures so
you can get a perspective of how well this room will function
in the capacity that our clients wanted. |
