As our population ages a larger percentage of us cannot negotiate stairs easily. This leaves us with the choice of moving to a single level home or assisted living facility. Neither of these options were satisfactory to our clients. Fortunately for them and their family the resources were available for a renovation that allowed the 70+ couple to live in a two-story home with a finished basement with their children and grandchildren.

We solved the problem of them not being able to negotiate stairs by installing a three floor residential elevator. The elder couple's bedroom, sitting room and bath are on the top level. The family kitchen is on the middle level and the laundry and garage are in the basement/bottom level. Our clients can now drive into the garage, get in the elevator and ride up to their bedroom level without dealing with any stairs.
