A Gourmet's Kitchen
HUB Design/Build recently completed a new addition, which included a master bedroom suite, new master bathroom, kitchen and family room. |
|
This is a truly captivating addition to this house. It provides
large windows for light and incorporates a beautiful fireplace
for that truly homey feeling when sitting around the kitchen
table during cold winter nights. |
 |
|
This is a large addition to the back of the original house,
which is approximately 50 years old. The house itself is a two
story brick colonial in Radnor Township. The owners wanted an
addition that would blend in with the older charm of the house
yet create a new feeling within. This was achieved through the
use of traditional materials on the exterior of the house and
through the use of expertly crafted materials on the inside
of the house. |
 |
This
unified feeling is evident in the openness of this kitchen as it extends
into the newly constructed family room by way of a large opening over
the fireplace and the expanded kitchen entryway. Incidentally, the
fireplace can also be seen from the family room and has a two-sided
granite surround.

The picture at right shows an overview of the work area. The
refrigerator, to the left of the double ovens, is a Sub Zero.
All of the cabinets have a Chaddsford Wheat finish. There is
also plenty of lighting to allow ease of work at various cooking
or food preparation-areas around the kitchen. |
