Our Clients Loved their Home, which they purchased new in 1980, and they did not want to move. However,
after 24 years, their needs had changed, and the home was due for some updating. It was time for a more
spacious Kitchen and an elegant front entry.
The space available in the existing kitchen was not large enough for the state-of-the-art kitchen that the
clients envisioned. The team at HUB Design/Build designed a kitchen expansion that, as an added bonus, also
lengthened the dining room by six feet.
The kitchen now boasts extensive countertops and a generous island breakfast bar. We were able to include
the substantial storage that our clients desired. The increased length of the dining room gave us the
opportunity to add two circle top windows to a wall that previously emitted no
light. We also enlarged the
opening between the kitchen and dining room to allow the windows to be viewed from the kitchen. In this way
the new windows illumine the entire space with soft natural light.
